Wispy foliage resembles “butterflies” when wind blows through their wire like stems. Foliage is green with purple stripes, and the plant can reach 3 feet tall (may people choose to trellis this plant over time).
This plant will appreciate plenty of bright light but not intense hot sun. A sunny window with a sheer curtain over it is perfect. Keep the soil from drying out for too long, or it will crisp up / drop leaves. Also, don’t be afraid to prune them back! This will encourage bushier growth. Enjoy this minimalist beauty!
Fun fact: Christia obcordata is actually a member of the legume family!! This also means they are heavy feeders, and will appreciate regular fertilizing.
