🌱 Before Foliages was a marketplace, it was a personal passion. Our founder, Keerthy Johnson, grew up in a home filled with greenery, learning the names of plants before she could read.
Years later, during the quiet days of lockdown, she rediscovered that passion. Her search for a rare String of Hearts plant online led her down a rabbit hole—not of stores,but of people. She found thriving Facebook communities where thousands of Indians were sharing, selling, and bonding over their love for plants.
She saw the joy, but she also saw the problems: the unreliable sellers, the damaged deliveries, the constant risk of fraud. Her first sale was an accident—someone in a group was looking for a plant she happened to have. Sending that first box across the country sparked an idea. With the encouragement of her husband, Reyo P Augustine, that idea grew into Foliages. We are not another faceless plant store. We are a marketplace built by a plant lover, for plant lovers. We started this journey to solve a real problem and to build the trusted, central, and joyful space for greenery that we always wished existed. Welcome to our community.
