Essential Care Guide

Light: Provide bright, indirect sunlight. An east-facing windowsill is ideal, or a shaded southern window. If leaves turn yellow, the plant may be getting too much direct sun; if they are dark green and it won't bloom, it likely needs more light.

Watering: Water thoroughly (about once or twice a week) but allow the potting medium to almost completely dry out between waterings. Overwatering is the most common cause of root rot.

Temperature & Humidity: They thrive in temperatures between 18–24°C (65–75°F) during the day, with a slight drop at night. Maintain humidity between 50–70%; using a pebble tray with water underneath the pot can help.

Potting Medium: Never use regular soil. Use a well-draining orchid mix containing fir bark, charcoal, or perlite.

Fertilizing: Use a balanced orchid fertilizer (like 20-20-20) every two weeks during the active growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in the winter. 

Post-Bloom Care

Once the flowers fade, cut the thin flowering stalk where it meets the main stem (cane). Do not cut the thick main canes, even if they lose their leaves; these canes store essential nutrients and water for future growth and can sometimes bloom again.
