An older Hawaiian hybrid that has always been a little difficult to locate is Colocasia Black Marble. It features lovely patches of dark green variegation on its midnight black foliage. Often, the stems have black streaks on a pink color. Col. Black Marble steadily produces suckers at the base of the plant and reaches a height of around 4 feet. Usually, I only own a small quantity of this vintage hybrid. An excellent choice for water gardens and pots. Best Conditions: Full sun to partial shade; moist to wet soil Special care instructions for all varieties of Colocasia: #Repot the plant as soon as it arrives; #Be aware that it may sustain damage during shipping; don't worry, new leaves will appear in a week; #Leave it in indirect sunlight for three to seven days; #Continually monitor the moisture content of the soil and provide it with water. Avoid overwatering it.
