A cross between Philodendron Melanochrysum and Philodendron Gloriosum is called Philodendron Glorious. This indicates that in order to create Glorious seeds, one of the parent plants---such as Melanochrysum---had to be cross-pollinated with the pollen of the other---such as Gloriosum. This plant was purposefully created by humans; it is not found in nature! Like its parent plant, P. Melanochrysum, the Glorious is generally a climber, although it frequently slips off the climbing support and scrambles over other plants or other objects. Because to the impact of the Melanochysum, glorious leaves are longer, thinner, and have a darker green color than Gloriosum foliage. Because of the characteristics of the Gloriosum, its leaves are also rounder, less elongated, and have a brighter green color than those of a Melanochrysum.
