Spiritus sancti

Philodendron spiritus-sancti is a rare aroid with striking, elongated dark green leaves, native to Brazil. This plant thrives in bright, indirect light; direct sunlight can scorch its leaves. An east or north-facing window is ideal, and it can adapt to lower light but grows slower. It requires consistently moist soil, with good drainage to prevent root rot. Water when the top inch of soil is dry, more frequently in spring and summer, less in fall and winter. High humidity (60-80%) is essential, so use a humidifier or humidity tray.
