Alocasia scalprum is a rare and collectible Alocasia native to the Philippines.

Leaf shape: Long lance-shaped leaves

Height: Around 1–2 feet indoors
Growth type: Compact upright plant
Because of its unusual leaf texture and shape, it is popular among rare aroid collectors.
Prefers bright indirect light
Can tolerate filtered sunlight
Avoid strong direct afternoon sun
Good light keeps the leaves compact and healthy.
Keep soil lightly moist
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil dries
Do not let soil stay soggy
Alocasias like consistent moisture but good drainage.
Use a loose, airy aroid mix:
Coco chips / orchid bark
Cocopeat
Perlite
Compost
Example mix:
30% coco chips + 30% cocopeat + 20% perlite + 20% compost
Feed every 3–4 weeks during active growth
Use balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength
Usually propagated by rhizome division:
Remove plant carefully from pot
Separate rhizome offsets
Plant in fresh aroid mix
