Alocasia frydek

Alocasia Frydek, also known as Green Velvet Alocasia, is admired for its deep green, velvety leaves with striking white veins. It thrives in bright, indirect light—direct sun can scorch the leaves, while low light slows growth. Ideal temperatures range from 18–27°C (65–80°F) with high humidity (60%+).

Water when the top 2–3 cm (1 inch) of soil is dry, using a well-draining aroid mix containing peat, perlite, and bark. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Fertilize monthly in the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Wipe leaves gently to maintain their velvety texture and check regularly for pests like spider mites or aphids. This elegant plant adds tropical charm to any indoor space.
