Rhaphidophora decursiva, commonly known as the Dragon Tail plant or Creeping Philodendron, is a tropical climbing plant in the aroid family (Araceae) native to China, the Indian Subcontinent, and Indochina. It is prized for its large, glossy green leaves that develop dramatic splits (fenestrations) as the plant matures. Key Characteristics Growth Habit: It is a fast-growing, perennial vine that climbs using aerial roots. In its natural habitat, it can reach up to 60 feet (18 meters) in height, but typically grows to about 10 feet (3 meters) indoors. Foliage: Juvenile plants have entire, heart-shaped leaves. As they mature and are allowed to climb a support (like a moss pole or trellis), the leaves become deeply lobed and fenestrated, eventually resembling palm fronds
