Peperomia obtusifolia ‘Golden Gate’- Bushy indoor plant

Peperomia obtusifolia is a compact, evergreen tropical plant with thick, glossy, fleshy leaves. ‘Golden Gate’ is a beautiful variegated form, recognized for its green leaf centres with warm yellow-to-cream margins.

☀️ Light

• Prefers bright, indirect light.
• A few hours of gentle morning light is fine.
• Avoid strong afternoon sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
• Good light helps maintain its attractive golden variegation.

💧 Watering

• Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry before watering again.
• Water thoroughly, then allow excess water to drain.
• Avoid keeping the soil constantly wet—overwatering is one of the main causes of root rot.
• Its thick leaves and stems store water, so it prefers slightly drying out between waterings.

🌱 Soil

Use a loose, airy and fast-draining potting mix.

A good mix:

• Cocopeat
• Perlite
• Compost
• Small amount of bark or other chunky material

Always use a pot with drainage holes.
