The Scindapsus Pictus Exotica, also known as the silver pothos, is a houseplant with large, dark green leaves that have silver spots and mottling.

Light:

• Prefers bright, indirect light.

• Can tolerate medium to low light but will grow slower and have less vibrant variegation.

• Avoid direct sunlight — it can scorch the leaves.

Water:

• Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry.

• Curling leaves indicate thirst.

• Water thoroughly and drain excess.

• Avoid overwatering — it causes root rot and yellowing leaves.

• Water less in winter.

Soil:

• Use well-draining, airy soil that retains some moisture.

• Ideal mix: orchid bark, coco peat, potting soil, and perlite.

• A tropical potting mix also works.

Temperature & Humidity:

• Ideal range: 18°C to 29°C (65°F to 85°F).

• Avoid cold drafts and A/C vents.

• Prefers 40-60% humidity.

  • Increase humidity with a pebble tray, humidifier, or occasional misting.

Fertilizer:

• Feed once a month in spring and summer with diluted liquid fertilizer.

• Don’t fertilize in winter.

Propagation:

• Remove lower leaves.

• Root in water, moist soil, or sphagnum moss.

• In water, change water weekly.
